Chief Financial Officer, London, United Kingdom

A prestigious automotive manufacturer is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead global financial strategy and operations. Reporting directly to the Group CEO, you will be a key member of the Executive Committee, shaping the financial direction of a business with £2bn+ turnover and operations across 15 countries. This is an exceptional opportunity for a commercially astute finance leader to drive value creation, support strategic M&A activity, and strengthen governance across a complex, multi-site organisation undergoing significant transformation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead global financial strategy, planning, and analysis across all business units
• Oversee all finance functions including accounting, treasury, tax, audit, and investor relations
• Partner closely with the CEO and Board to drive performance, strategic decision-making, and governance
• Support and evaluate growth initiatives, M&A transactions, and post-acquisition integration
• Build and develop a high-performing global finance team across multiple geographies
• Ensure robust financial controls, risk management, and regulatory compliance
• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes
• Represent the organisation to external stakeholders including investors, banks, and auditors

Requirements

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with extensive post-qualification experience
• Proven track record as CFO or Finance Director in a complex, international organisation
• Strong leadership capability with experience managing multi-country finance teams
• Demonstrated experience in manufacturing, automotive, or industrial sectors strongly preferred
• Excellent stakeholder management and Board-level communication skills
• Experience with M&A, capital markets, and investor relations advantageous
• Strategic mindset with hands-on approach to driving performance improvement
